The Cleveland Clinic Stephanie Tubbs Jones Health Center is a three-story, $25 million facility that focuses on chronic disease management and outpatient services, including cardiology, nephrology, ophthalmology and podiatry, according to the report.
In June, Cleveland Clinic announced its plans to close Huron Hospital, which was operating at roughly 50 percent of its capacity at the time and had lost $77 million in the last decade. The announcement drew sharp criticism from city officials and community leaders who argued the closure would reduce access to emergency and trauma care for area communities.
