Louisiana Hospitals Prepare for Tropical Storm Isaac

All hospitals in southeast Louisiana plan to remain open as Tropical Storm Isaac makes its way toward the state, according to a Times-Picayune report.

The storm is expected to gain Hurricane strength and should hit land tonight or early tomorrow morning.

In advance of the storm, the Interim LSU Hospital cancelled all elective surgeries and will close its clinics today. Ochsner Health System has closed its clinics today and tomorrow, according to the report. Other hospitals in the area have also cancelled elective surgeries.
