Garland Certain, Methodist Hospital board chairman, told the publication the hospital has been going through difficult financial circumstances, and this may warrant workforce changes.
“No action has been taken as far as employee layoffs. But it is one of the things that we have been looking into,” Mr. Certain said. “Methodist’s revenue has been down, so we are considering some changes.”
Mr. Colberg resigned earlier this week 11 months into his tenure. Benny Nolen, vice president of professional services at Methodist Hospital, will serve as interim CEO.
