Richard Hynes, MD, the former chief medical officer of the hospital, filed the suit in Jan. 2009. As part of the agreement, the hospital will also drop its countersuit against Dr. Hynes.
The original suit alleged that the board violated hospital bylaws. No other details were provided in the report. The hospital called the allegations “groundless,” according to the report.
