Lahey Clinic Tacks “Hospital and Medical Center” to Name

Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Clinic is undergoing a name change, becoming Lahey Hospital & Medical Center as part of a new branding campaign.

The teaching hospital’s new name is part of a system-wide campaign resulting from Lahey Clinic Foundation’s affiliation with Beverly, Mass.-based Northeast Health System in May 2012. The health system will be called Lahey Health.

The following facilities under the Lahey umbrella will also undergo a change in name:

• Lahey Clinic Medical Center will become Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, Burlington.
• Lahey Clinic Medical Center, North Shore will become Lahey Medical Center, Peabody.
• Lahey Medical Center, Lexington will become Lahey Outpatient Center, Lexington.
• Beverly Hospital at Danvers will become Lahey Outpatient Center, Danvers.
