John Bonamo, MD. Executive Vice President, Chief Quality Officer and CMO of RWJBarnabas Health (New Brunswick, N.J.). Dr. Bonamo has served in a variety of leadership positions with the health system or one of its affiliates since he joined RWJBarnabas Health in 1993. He was appointed chief quality officer and CMO of the 11-hospital system in December 2014 and began in the position the following month. A board-certified physician in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Bonamo is responsible for overseeing a staff of 32,000 employees, including 9,000 physicians and 1,000 residents and interns. In addition to his clinical and executive leadership roles, he has also maintained a faculty teaching position in the international management program at Peking University in Beijing since 2006.
