In a statement obtained by Inside Indiana Business‘ partner institution WPTA-12 News, state officials said they were “disappointed” by the decision.
They highlighted Mr. Bauer’s commitment to the eight-hospital health system, stating he “immediately embraced our community and remained steadfast in his commitment to its betterment … [CHS’] decision to suddenly terminate such a valuable asset to the community raises local concerns over the direction of the company.”
