In May, Erlanger Health Systems agreed to manage Hutcheson Medical Center, which has struggled with physician retention and financial stability. Since the agreement was finalized, there have been improvements at the hospital, including gains in the cardiology and orthopedics departments. Erlanger at Hutcheson has also regained its trauma center status, which was lost in 2000, according to the report.
