How Christus Saint Michael Health System is putting superheroes to work

Patients at Texarkana, Texas-based Christus Saint Michael Health System  saw an unlikely figure recently washing windows at the health system: Spiderman.

The health system on Friday released a video showing a man cleaning windows in a Spiderman costume, much to the excitement of its youngest patients.

“Superheroes come in all forms,” the video reads. “Some wear scrubs. Some clean windows.”

While the idea was simple and inexpensive to implement, it still made a large impact on patients at Christus Saint Michael, according to Chris Karam, president and CEO of the health system.

“Who wouldn’t want to make a difference, if even for a moment, to those we are honored to serve and who help us deliver care,” Mr. Karam said via email.
