Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said that while Republicans will strive for full repeal of the law, they share some of the same goals as Democrats, although they have different ways of achieving them. For example, “we too don’t want to accept any insurance company’s denial of someone and coverage for that person because he or she may have pre-existing condition,” he said.
The repeal-and-replace measure could be passed in the new GOP-led House next year, but it is expected to fail in the Democratic-led Senate.
