Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., chairman of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, does not support ACA stabilization measures but appears to consider them inevitable, according to The Hill.

Mr. Meadows and his conservative colleagues called measures like cost-sharing subsidies and reinsurance bailouts for insurers, but many other Republicans have been warming to the proposals.

Though the House Freedom Caucus previously fought attempts to fund these initiatives, they are expected to be included in an omnibus government funding bill Congress is working to pass by March 23 to avoid a shutdown. When asked if he had concerns about ACA stabilization measures included in the omnibus, Mr. Meadows appeared resigned.

“Well, I don’t think that they’re counting on our votes to pass the omnibus,” Mr. Meadows told The Hill.
