The Workforce Democracy and Fairness Act also ensures employers are able to participate in a fair union election process; guarantees workers have the ability to make a fully informed decision in a union election; reinstates the traditional standard for determining which employees will vote in the union election; and safeguards privacy by allowing workers to decide the type of personal information provided to a union.
The bill, which is backed by the American Hospital Association, would stop the National Labor Relations Board from moving forward with a proposed rule for representation case procedures. In late August, the AHA and others urged the NLRB to abandon or significantly modify its proposed rule.
