Hospital Prices Up Slightly in April

Overall hospital prices rose 0.2 percent in April compared to March, representing a 1.5 percent increase since April 2010, according to a Healthcare Financial Management Association report of data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics Producer Price Index.

This uptick is less, however, than the 3.5 percent increase between April 2009 and April 2010.

The PPI measures average changes in selling prices received by producers for their products and services.
