Hospital Employment Increases 0.16% Since July

The hospital industry added approximately 7,700 jobs from July 2011-Aug. 2011, while the country’s overall unemployment rate held steady, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The additional 7,700 jobs since July indicate a 0.16 percent increase in hospital employment to a total of nearly 4.76 million jobs.
