Health Management Associates Names Ann Barnhart Division President

Naples, Fla.-based Health Management Associates has named Ann Barnhart as its division president, according to a report by the News Chief.

Ms. Barnhart has served as interim president HMA’s division that oversees hospitals in Tennessee, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and Washington since June 2009. She previously served as CEO at Heart of Florida Hospital in Davenport, Fla., according to the report.

In her new permanent position, Ms. Barnhart will oversee nine hospitals. She will also retain the title senior vice president of operations, which she has held since 2006.
