The Community Living Assistance Services and Supports Act was created to give disabled and elderly patients cash to receive home healthcare rather than institutional healthcare. Late last year, HHS announced it would suspend the provision because a long-term financially sound infrastructure for the program could not be established.
The GOP-controlled House voted 267-159 in favor of the bill, which sends it to the Senate for a vote.
