Healthcare Fundraising Rebounds From Recession Lows

A recent survey by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy suggests that healthcare fundraising showed signs of recovery from recession lows, according to an AHP release.

While the vast majority of healthcare fundraisers responding to the survey (71 percent) said the recession is still negatively effecting fundraising efforts, this represents a 16 percent improvement over 2009.

Additionally, fewer fundraisers (52 percent) reported having to cut their fundraising budgets than in 2009 (50 percent). Fewer fundraisers (44 percent) also experienced declines in major gift revenue, compared to 2009 (59 percent).
