The new ED and ICU are part of the hospital’s larger $108 million spending plan for hospital construction, including a helipad, a new ambulance bay and a new oxygen tower. The ED will house 23 exam rooms, including 2 trauma rooms, and the ICU will feature 16 intensive-care rooms. The ED and ICU are projected to be completed in the first quarter of 2013.
