“Always remember where you come from!” Ms. Lewis wrote in the post, which has garnered 28,000 likes, 4,000 comments and 101,000 shares as of Sept. 15.

Ms. Lewis recently started graduate classes at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Nursing to achieve her doctorate in nursing.
