Dr. Colyer was lieutenant governor under Sam Brownback, R, who left the governor’s office to assume a religious ambassador position in President Donald Trump’s administration. With Mr. Brownback’s departure, Dr. Colyer became governor.
Tony Sun, MD, worked with Dr. Colyer and is now senior medical director at United Healthcare. He said Dr. Colyer’s medical experience will ultimately benefit Kansas residents.
“Dr. Colyer is a great leader for our state and he’s a good colleague and he is a great advocate for Kansans, especially the health and well-being of Kansans,” Dr. Sun said, according to The Topeka Capital-Journal.
