Former Microsoft exec to chair advisory board for University of Washington’s Population Health Initiative

Seattle-based University of Washington has selected Bill Neukom to chair the external advisory board for its population health initiative.

Mr. Neukom has served as executive vice president of law and corporate affairs at Microsoft, chair of the law firm K&L Gates, president of the American Bar Association and CEO of the San Francisco Giants Major League Baseball team.

In 2006, he established the World Justice Project, which aims to advance effective rule of law.

At University of Washington, Mr. Neukom will lead an advisory board focused on finding answers to health challenges, environmental resilience and social and economic equity.

The first advisory board meeting will be held in May 2020.
