Dr. Gottlieb was a venture partner at NEA from 2007 to 2017 before being appointed commissioner of the FDA. He’s rejoining the venture capital firm after stepping down from his position at the FDA in April.
Dr. Gottlieb, who was the 23rd commissioner of the FDA, is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine and a resident fellow at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C.
