Former congresswoman joins Westchester County Health Care board

Former U.S. Rep. Nan Hayworth, MD, (R-N.Y.) has been appointed to the board of directors of Westchester County Health Care Corp., based in Valhalla, N.Y., according to the Times Herald-Record.

 Westchester County Health Care Corp. operates Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, as well as nine other hospitals in the Hudson Valley, including Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, N.Y., St. Anthony Community Hospital in Warwick, N.Y., and the HealthAlliance hospitals in Kingston, N.Y., according to the report.

Dr. Hayworth served as a representative of New York’s 19th Congressional District from 2011 to 2012. She previously owned her own ophthalmology practice before joining a group practice in 1996.
