The campaign aims to raise $100 million to be put toward the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s pediatric care, including Jackson, Miss.-based Batson Children’s Hospital and other clinics across the state. The quarterback will serve on the fundraising committee for the campaign, along with his wife, according to a press release issued by the medical center.
Mr. Manning has played a large role in children’s health in the state, opening the Eli Manning Children’s Clinics at Batson Children’s Hospital in 2009, according to the press release.
“Abby and I are the parents of three precious daughters, so we know that the health of your children means everything,” said Mr. Manning. “We want every family to have the best quality care for their children close to home. That’s why we opened the Eli Manning Children’s Clinics at Batson Children’s Hospital, and that’s why we made this commitment to the future of pediatric care at UMMC.”
