The roughly 420 nurses, represented by the New York State Nurses Association, have been working without benefits and a contract since Jan. 1. Temporary benefits were not provided, according to the report.
A specific date for a strike was not given, but the union says it is prepared to issue a 10-day notice of strike if negotiations continue without an agreement, according to the report.
