Financially Struggling Massachusetts Hospital to Close Units

Morton Hospital and Medical Center in Taunton, Mass., has said it will close two hospital units due to rising pension costs and declining reimbursements, according to a report by the Boston Herald.

The hospital will close its Transitional Care Unit and its Occupational Health Services Program as part of its cost-cutting efforts. The cuts are expected to include 43 jobs, according to the report.
