Faxton St. Luke’s has lost more than $4 million so far this year due in part to lower Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements and changing patient volumes, according to the Observer-Dispatch. “The healthcare arena is in constant change. We have seen patients migrate to free-standing outpatient centers, as well as a decrease in the number of inpatients in the hospital setting,” Faxton St. Luke’s President and CEO Scott Perra told the paper.
