Indiana University Health to Lay Off 100 More Employees Than Expected

Indianapolis-based Indiana University Health intends to lay off 900 employees, 100 more than it initially announced in September, according to an Inside Indiana Business report.

The health system announced last month it would be laying off 800 employees to help trim $1 billion from its budget.

The layoffs will affect employees at Riley Hospital for Children, University Hospital and Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis as well as workers at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie and IU Health North Hospital in Carmel.
