The Climate Leadership Awards began four years ago by the U.S. EPA to recognize companies that show great leadership in response to climate change, the article stated.
Clorox was 1 of 6 companies to receive the award for acheiving it’s publicly set greehouse gas emissions reduction goals.
Clorox set a goal in 2012 to reduce its emissions by an additional 20 percent on a “per case basis by 2020.”
Benno Dorer, Clorox CEO, noted in the article, “The Climate Leadership Awards are gratifying recognition of our commitment to continue driving our sustainability progress.”
