Employees at Trumbull Memorial in Ohio Protest Over Staffing Levels

Approximately 350 employees represented by the Service Employees International Union protested outside Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio, last week over staffing levels, according to a WFMJ report.

The union, which represents the hospital’s licensed practical nurses, pharmacists and lab technicians, are in the midst of contract negotiations with hospital leaders. The union is asking for minimum staffing ratios as part of its contract, according to the report. In response, the hospital said it is committed to excellent patient care and good working conditions.
