Eastern Maine Healthcare System changes name

Brewer-based Eastern Maine Healthcare System will change its name to Northern Light Health effective Oct. 1.

The name change represents the system’s evolution from a regional provider to a statewide integrated care delivery organization.

The hospitals that are part of EMHS, all in Maine, include Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Inland Hospital in Waterville, Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth, Mercy Hospital in Portland, and the Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Island.
