Dr. Steve Allen named chair of Children's Hospital Association board

The Children's Hospital Association welcomed Steven Allen, MD, CEO of Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, as chair of its board on Jan. 1.

Dr. Allen has served on the board for five years and chaired its public policy committee and quality and safety committee.

"Steve Allen is a passionate advocate for children's healthcare and child health. As chair of CHA's Board of Trustees, Steve's leadership is essential as we work to improve health outcomes for kids through children's hospitals' relentless focus on quality and efforts to ensure the healthcare system considers the unique needs of children," Mark Wietecha, president and CEO, said in a statement. "We appreciate his and the board's commitment to this important work and are confident their insights will advance the care of children in our hospitals and across the nation."
