Attracting the right talent — candidates who could fit in with an organization’s culture, align with its mission and values and possess the necessary competencies — is no easy feat. However, establishing a more efficient and effective system for selecting the right candidates is one way the human resources department can directly contribute to the organization’s overarching goals and bottom line.
The human resources team cannot achieve this alone, however. To be successful, HR must gain support from leadership by effectively communicating the value of behavioral selection and the impact of talent acquisition strategies, and gain organizational buy-in to define culture and needs.
In a May 27 webinar sponsored by Select International, McLeod Health will present its patient satisfaction and patient safety initiative, an approach to selection that adds measurable value to the organization, empowers staff and contributes to broader organizational initiatives, including patient satisfaction and safety.
Laurie Wasko, PhD, healthcare consulting lead at Select International, Bryan J. Warren, manager of healthcare solutions at Select International, and Tim Hess, senior vice president of human resources and training at McLeod Health will lead the webinar, which begins at 12:00 p.m. CST.
