Officials at Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva have determined it would be cost ineffective to remodel the facility. Instead, they will use the USDA Rural Development Community Facilities Program funding from the federal stimulus package to design, construct and purchase equipment for a new facility.
The stimulus will also fund a $47,000 USDA Rural Development loan to buy an electricity generator for Rock County Hospital.
