Community Hospital Consulting to manage Houston County Medical Center: 3 things to know

Community Hospital Consulting, the management and consulting arm of Plano, Texas-based Community Hospital Corp., has announced a new agreement to manage Houston County Medical Center, a 49-bed hospital in Crockett, Texas.

Here are three things to know about the agreement.

1. HCMC transitioned to management by CHC beginning June 1.

2. As part of the agreement, several of CHC’s seasoned executive leaders are serving onsite at the hospital, according to CHC. They include interim CEO Bill Rohloff and interim CNO Lucy Norris.

3. Larry Christopher, Houston County Hospital District board president, spoke highly of the transition, calling it exciting and rewarding. “We envision a bright future for Houston County Medical Center, which includes keeping healthcare and jobs local and contributing to our economy,” Mr. Christopher said in a prepared statement.
