The project will upgrade the intensive care unit, expanding patient rooms to more than double their current size. The hospital will also renovate the Abben Cancer Center, providing new simulators for radiation treatment so patients can receive treatment without moving between different buildings.

Spencer Hospital will begin the renovation this winter and plans to complete the project by the end of 2013.
