The venerable Freiberg Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, founded in 1890, includes Scott Jolson, MD, Glenn Reinhart, MD, Andrew Roth, MD, and Lee Shaftel, MD, who will all be working for the 555-bed hospital now. The hospital also hired solo orthopedic surgeon Marc C. Schneider, MD.
A month ago, Christ Hospital announced the acquisition of Daniel Funk, MD,’s solo practice. With the most recent acquisitions, the hospital now has eight employed orthopedic surgeons, according to the hospital’s website.
Dr. Reinhardt said the hospital’s acquisition of his practice “will provide us the unity to provide the highest quality orthopedic care by utilizing the many resources available through the region’s premier hospital.”
