CFO Ronald Weiner: Drawn to Innovation, Patient Satisfaction at Magruder Hospital

Ronald Weiner brings expertise in cost reporting, managed care contracting, cost accounting and more to Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, Ohio, as vice president of finance and CFO.

In June, Mr. Weiner replaced Todd Almendinger, who was recently promoted to president and CEO of the hospital. Mr. Weiner was drawn to the opportunity to serve as CFO of a smaller, community-oriented hospital on the cutting edge of health information technology and patient satisfaction, according to a news release.

Previously, he served as director of reimbursement and payer integrity for Zanesville, Ohio-based Genesis HealthCare System, where his responsibilities included Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement analysis and third-party payers predication and analysis, among other financial management tasks.

He holds both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in business administration from Ohio University.
