CEO to know: Dr. Charles Peck of Athens Regional Health System

Charles “Chuck” Peck, MD, will officially become the president and CEO of Athens (Ga.) Regional Health System March 15.

The ARHS board of trustees voted unanimously to appoint Dr. Peck, who has served as interim CEO since September 2014.

Dr. Peck is a licensed internist and rheumatologist with previous executive and consulting experience. He will step into this role at ARHS from his latest position as managing director of Navigant Consulting. He also previously served as president and CEO of Health Inventures, a surgical and physician services company.

In his new role, Dr. Peck aims to put ARHS in the top 10 percent of hospitals in the nation for quality, safety and patient satisfaction, grow technology, recruit top clinicians and establish ARHS as an employer of choice in the region, he told the Athens Banner-Herald.
