The center consolidates St. Mary’s cancer services into one facility and will feature chemotherapy infusion and precise radiation therapies, more comfortable and private patient areas and a staffed resource center.
The 14,200 square-foot center is expected to treat approximately 400 infusion and 200 radiation therapy patients annually.
“Cancer incidence is growing in San Francisco and will continue to escalate as our population ages, said Anna Cheung, president and CEO of St. Mary’s Medical Center. “The new CHW Cancer Center, and our soon-to-be-opened Cardiac-Vascular Suite, will help St. Mary’s get ahead of the curve and fight back against cancer and heart disease, the leading causes of death in our country.”
