Oregon’s St. Charles Health Announces Impending Layoffs in Face of $9M Budget Shortfall

St. Charles Health System, based in Bend, Ore., is expected to announce an undetermined number of layoffs in the near future, according to a KBND report.

St. Charles Health System CEO Jim Diegel stated the staffing changes are necessary due to the health system’s $9 million budget shortfall. The health system already laid off three employees last week and implemented a hiring freeze.
