Previously, Mr. Sutter served as the health system’s executive director of IT and prior to that as the clinical director of Carle’s Epic electronic health record system.
As CINO, Mr. Sutter will focus on evaluating and optimizing Carle’s use of their current IT systems as well as finding and implementing more advanced technologies.
“There are opportunities that come from a rigorous assessment of new technologies,” said Mr. Sutter in a news release. “Our intent is to enhance Carle’s capabilities, improving quality and work flow by integrating technology-based solutions. The true success will come from seeing innovation move to the bedside to improve outcomes for our patients.”
