Healthcare reform, federal budget cuts and a weak economy were cited as the principal reasons for the changes. Eliminating the five administrative positions alone will save approximately $800,000 in salaries and benefits each year, according to the report.
The job cuts will affect the hospital’s chief compliance officer, security manager, security supervisor, an administrative assistant in security and the vice president of the Enloe Foundation. In addition, the Risk Management and Corporate Compliance departments will be combined, and Security and Valet Parking will merge with Emergency Medical Services.
