Here are three things to know about Ms. Samuelson.
1. She is president and CEO of Analysis Group, an economic consulting firm based in Boston.
2. Ms. Samuelson has served on the BMC Board of Trustees since 2008. As a BMC board member, Ms. Samuelson helped guide the hospital through a leadership transition from Elaine Ullian to current BMC President and CEO Kate Walsh. She also help guide the hospital in merger talks with Boston-based Tufts Medical Centerthat ultimately ended without a deal.
3. Ms. Samuelson is succeeding Ted English, former TJX companies CEO, as the board’s leader.
