“Healthcare is changing, and Bon Secours is always evaluating how we can best meet our community’s needs while serving as good stewards of our health ministry and its resources,” spokesperson Jennifer Robinson told the publication.

“To ensure we can meet the healthcare needs of our patients well into the future,” she added, “we are identifying efficiencies, processes and best practices to help serve our community and keep our ministry viable.”

Ms. Robinson said Pelham Road Medical Plaza, also in Greenville, is a primary care practice that serves about 2,000 patients. The facility is part of Bon Secours St. Francis Health System, which is part of Cincinnati-based Bon Secours Mercy Health.

Patients affected by the practice closure in Greenville will be able to receive care from other practices within Bon Secours, including Reedy Family Medicine at St. Francis’ Eastside campus in Greenville.
