LifePoint Releases 3Q Results, Revenue Up 12%

Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Hospitals has released its third quarter 2010 results, with revenues from continuing operations reaching $832.3 million, up 11.7 percent from $745 million in the third quarter of 2009, according to a LifePoint news release.

Net income for the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2010, was $38.8 million, up 24 percent from $31.4 million for the same period last year.

William F. Carpenter III, president and CEO of LifePoint called the results “solid in spite of soft volumes.”
