Officials at the health system said they need enough people to take an offer of “voluntary separation,” or the layoffs will be enacted, the report said.
According to the report, up to 73 vacant jobs in nonclinical areas would be the first to go. After that, hospital officials hope people will accept severance packages, which will equal a week’s pay for every year of employment, up to 12.
