During Dr. Gawande’s Feb. 12 keynote, which is titled “Bold Visions for a Healthier Society,” he will “bring his singular voice and deep experience to the mission of improving healthcare delivery for all,” according to HIMSS.
A renowned surgeon, professor and writer, Dr. Gawande is heading up one of the most high-profile initiatives in the industry: the healthcare collaboration between Jeff Bezos, Jamie Dimon and Warren Buffet. As CEO, he is charged with devising new care models to improve outcomes, satisfaction and cost-efficiency for the companies’ employees and families.
HIMSS19 is slated for Feb.11-15, 2019, in Orlando, Fla.
