Atlanta’s Northside Hospital Files Letter of Intent to Relocate Cherokee Hospital

Atlanta’s Northside Hospital has filed a letter of intent with the Georgia Department of Community Health to build a new facility for its Northside Hospital-Cherokee in Canton, Ga., according to a Cherokee Tribune report.

Northside Hospital-Cherokee is currently located in Canton, but the new facility will be built on more than 100 acres of its parent hospital’s land behind a shopping center, the report said.

The 84-bed hospital will also have a women’s center, a multispecialty medical office building and a cancer center. The report said the projected cost of the hospital will be $250 million, and the hospital is expected to open in March 2015.
