The Antelope Valley Healthcare District in Lancaster, Calif., selected Don Parazo, MD, to serve as chair of its board of directors.
Dr. Parazo, a family practitioner and gerontologist, has previously served as board chair and has been named Trustee of the Year by the Association of California Healthcare Districts twice.
Additional board appointments include:
• Kristina Hong, RN, was elected first vice chair
• Mukund Shah, MD, was elected second vice chair
• Abdallah Farrukh, MD, was elected secretary
• Mateo Olivarez, RN, was elected treasurer
